Tanya Sokolovskaya

Hi, my name is Tanya 👋
I’m a UK-based designer with ten years of experience in layout and graphic design, passionate about typography, print, AI, and everything related to this craft. I also run a blog on magazine layout design and behind-the-scenes of my work as a designer.

For the past three years, I have been working as a layout designer in a monthly magazine. I initialised and owned the project of the magazine redesign, which ended up as a very welcome change for the media-holding managers and the magazine customers alike. I love creating optimised workflows, making guidelines, and strictly following deadlines, which are crucial for the periodic magazine.

Prior to discovering my love for print design, I worked as a freelance graphic designer. I created logotypes for UNOOSA (United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs) space project and world-famous UK-based DJ and producer John 00 Fleming, among others.

Proficient in all graphic Adobe products: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat. Over a decade of remote work experience.

I’m a self-published author on Amazon, and my books are available to order. Feel free to look around 🙂️️️️️️

Magazine Layout Design

Agroinvestor is a monthly business magazine for agricultural experts writing on investments, market analysis, and business strategies of market players.

Every month I created the layout of 68 pages, which included about 7 long-read articles, 20 news pieces, featured interviews, ad spreads, and more content; I built around 40 charts and graphs; processed and prepared around 60 images for printing; and created unique cover designs.

Also, I created other company printing materials and graphic designs, such as presentations, event programmes, exhibition posters, flyers, folders, badges, roll-ups, press walls, business cards, media kits, and more.

Blog

In the blog, I share my experience, the process, and behind-the-scenes of working as a designer.

Archive

I used to work on web projects — designing, supervising the work of layout designers and programmers, and running and maintaining websites. I no longer do websites, and I have put some of my web designs here just for archive purposes.
